Just adding a few extra Halloween touches around the house! Sophie is all ready in her costume to get some tasty 'Treats'.
I also finished one of my projects using the Sherri Berry Trick or Treat Street Fabric that I bought at the Quilt-A-Fair a few weeks ago. It fits my large dining room table just perfect. I just love...love...love patchwork! Aren't these fabrics great? My favorites are the orange lace and the owls.
I must say, I do not enjoy quilting (machine or by hand). I did just a bit to keep it all together, but plan on giving it to my sister who is a Pro at quilting with her long-arm machine. I know she will do something fantastic to give this table runner some movement and personality!
To finish off the day I made the family Hot Caramel Apple Cider's topped with whipped cream and a drizzle of maple syrup! Sooo, yummy and warm in my tummy. Perfect for this very chilly 32 degree weather we are having! I worked at Starbucks for 4 years and this is one of my absolute favorite drinks to have in the Fall & Winter.
If you want to make your own I'll tell you how:
Get yourself some Apple Cider, Caramel Syrup, Whip Cream, and Maple Syrup. Warm the apple cider on the stove (I used a tea kettle). Drizzle the caramel inside the glass (turn the glass at an angle and drizzle up and down so the caramel sticks to the sides of the glass). Add the hot cider, top with whipped cream and drizzle some maple syrup or caramel on top!
YUM!
