Stay-cation #1: Downtown Denver

This Summer we will be taking a few "Stay-cations" here in Colorado! We have planned 1-2 trips per month until school starts up again in August. I have lived in Colorado my whole 35 years, and there is alot I haven't seen or done! So, we will be visiting places and doing things that are brand new!

This month we decided to have an overnight stay at a 4-star (that's the highest rating in Colorado) hotel in downtown Denver. The kids have never stayed in a hotel, and are always asking to! We checked into the Hyatt Regency and asked for the highest floor available....we got the 32ND! The elevator ride made me sick everytime!

The construction site and crane worker were great to watch! I know, it's not the beautiful picturesque beach and waves, but it was still cool to see such a colossal piece of machinery at work!

June is known for Weddings Galore..and this June my Honey and I are celebrating our 13th Anniversary!

I thought I would show-off my beautiful dress that my Mom so lovingly made for me...There were a lot of tears and hair-pulling (and probably a bit of cussing) making this dress, but it is everything and more that I imagined it to be! I will cherish it forever & one day I hope to hand it down to my daughters.

The bodice part of the dress is woven creme satin ribbon with pearl beads sewn at each intersecting point (271 to be exact). There are three different size roses and were made petal by petal by my Mom, sisters, and myself. I remember them being very time consuming to make!
