When I used to home-school my kids, I was always on the lookout for learning tools and crafts in magazines and books. I came across this fun idea in my Family Fun Magazine, and made a smaller version for my kids to use. They really enjoyed playing with it, and realized quickly that one was not enough! There was some fighting over who's turn it was etc..etc...and it eventually got taken away...and forgotten about. With Spring here, I thought it would be a great time to make a new and bigger one "to share" (until I can collect more cartons). I like to call it The Egg Carton of Curiosities!

MATERIALS: Egg Carton (not Styrofoam), Acrylic Paints, Paint Brushes, Awl, Card stock, Ribbon or String, Stamps, Tweezers.

My heart started beating a little faster when I saw this darling little house sitting on the shelf at a local second hand kids clothing store! Forget summer clothes for the kids...is the house for sale?
It's quite large (24"x18"), very sturdy, in good condition, furniture included...and all for $40. I think it's a pretty good deal. I'll take it!
