On my way home from dropping the kids off at schooll, I noticed a very large and colorful 'Yard Sale' sign on the side of the road. As I continued on a little further down the road, I saw a lady putting up another of the colorful signs. My heart did a little skip and a pitter-patter at the thought of a yard sale! It was still pretty darn early, and there were things that I needed to get done at home...I couldn't stop to shop!
All morning I thought about all the treasures I probably missed out on...and decided that I would at least swing by on my way before picking the kids up from school to see if there was anything left. I first did a drive-by, you know to see if there was anything that caught my eye...hmmm, maybe. Last week was crazy-busy! Running from doctor (son with ear infection), to Vet (dog with allergies and ear infection), to volunteering at the school's Book Fair (2+ days), to Parent/Teacher Conferences (for 3 kids) and ending the week with a Birthday Bowling Party. Needless to say I was a little frazzled and pooped!
New week and a new start..a day date with my Honey, shopping for used books and good food! After dropping the kids off at school we headed up to Boulder for some breakfast at
Tee & Cakes. Mmmm, Breakfast Burritos, and Vanilla Lattes! Look how pretty the barista made our drinks, and they tasted just as yummy too...so silky smooth!

It was so early in the morning that nothing but the coffee shops were open, so we just strolled up and down Pearl Street Mall window shopping. Pearl St. is an outside pedestrian mall (4 blocks) packed with shops, boutiques, cafes, bookstores and some of the most interesting people you will ever see!
We went to 3 used bookstores on the mall. The Boulder Bookstore was a mix of new and used books, and you would think with 3 floors I would find something...but alas...nothing. Trident was the next store we stopped at, and after browsing for a few minutes...nothing! Grrrr!
