To New Friends and New Traditions!

Look...my package from my swap partner arrived on Christmas Eve! The kids and I were so excited to see what was inside. When I opened it, there was a beautiful letter and little packages all wrapped so wonderfully. It was so fun to unwrap each one and be surprised!

Even though I have never met my swap partner in person (only through a few e-mails), it was if she had known me for years. Her package was absolutely perfect in every way!

Here is what was inside:
* Victorian Santa Garland, Doll Tags, Santa Stickers, Bird Tags and a Paper Stocking filled with Poppers. I have always loved Victorian prints and papers. The hard part will be using these....only for special gifts.

* Mini Kleenex holder for my purse. I always have to have a Kleenex or two wherever I go. I have at least 3-4 crumpled in my purse right now, and a few in each pocket of each jacket. Gross, I know!

* A cute Birdie Cookie Cutter, and a Santa tin filled with Buckeye Candies,...recipe included! I have to hide these from everyone in my house or they will be gone in a flash!

 

Christmas Came Early

All my packages arrived early and I couldn't help opening them!

4. Charley Harper: An Illustrated Life: By Charley Harper and Todd Oldham

This is a Gi-normous book...18x13 1/4", and it came in a cool box. I am planning on wrapping this one up and sticking it under the tree so I will have something to open with everyone else. I haven't even cracked the box, so it will still be a surprise when I open it's glorious pages!                                                                                 

 

And I finally got my Gingher scissor set... Pinking Shears, Dressmaker's Shears and Embroidery scissors! Sorry Fiskars, you're going in the utility drawer!

Holiday Tradition Swap

I finished my Holiday Tradition Swap project and sent if off to my partner yesterday! I am so pleased at how it turned out, and had so much fun making and stuffing the stocking with all sorts of fun goodies and treats!

It measures about 20" and can hold quite a bit of stuff as you can see! I was a little sneaky and a few extra little surprises that are not in the photo.

I Am A Fleecie Addict!

So, I finally found the first Fleecie book by Fiona Goble. Don't you just hate when you're not looking for a particular book you can find it ANYWHERE, but when you finally decide to get it....POOOOF! Nowhere to be found. I know I could have easily ordered it on Amazon with one simple click, but I "needed" it (I am an addict), and since I live by 5+ bookstores I figured it wouldn't be so difficult to get. After much searching and calling around I found only one copy at a Barnes and Noble just up the road...about 40 minutes away. Did someone say family road trip?

Well, the kids were not as excited about the road trip as I was, but I got it...we had a great lunch...a little shopping...and a fun time together. Well worth the drive for this awesomely cute book!
