Sneaky- Peeky

This is what I am working on while the kids are at school. I have to be sneaky, because these super bright butterfly quilts are for my girls. I think they forgot about making them, and it will be a wonderful surprise! There is a story behind these butterflies which I will tell you about in a future post! So for now enjoy the brightness!

Olivia's quilt has this beautiful aqua sashing and purple sparkly squares.

Lauren's has orange polka-dot sashing and striped magenta squares. It reminds me of a giant Starburst, and makes my mouth water every time I look at it!

While I am working on these quilts, I have been snacking on these...

I know, these aren't the most healthy thing to snack on, but they will be the last Circus Animals Cookies I will ever eat! Mother's Cookies has gone out of business.Sad but true... No more Peanut Butter Gauchos, English Tea, or Taffy Sandwiches! Get them while you can and enjoy with your little ones and a tall glass of milk.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

A little of this... 500 piece puzzle.

A little of that... Coloring with my new box of 120 Crayola Crayons. Who can resist colors like Pink Sherbert, Unmellow Yellow, Razzle Dazzle Rose, Atomic Tangerine, Wild Blue Yonder and Screamin' Green!

A little... One-on-One time with my oldest daughter. Lunch at Pizza Hut, and a stroll through the World Market.

And ending the day with... An eggnog latte topped with whipped cream and frosted sugar cookies!

Tilly the Mermaid

Another doll finished from my new favorite book. I'll just go ahead and admit that I have an addiction to these adorable dolls. I made Tilly for my little neighbor who just celebrated her 5th birthday. I hope she likes it!

I used some Fun-fetti yarn mixed in with her hair. I love how it looks so colorful and sea-weed like! And every mermaid needs some Bling!

It is getting difficult to give these dolls away, and I hope that everyone will love them as much as I do!

Magnus Monster Attack!

I finished making Magnus the Little Monster from my new book Fleecie Dolls by Fiona Goble. I had so much fun working on these dolls, and my kids were eagerly waiting for me to finish!

 

I accidentally enlarged the pattern to the wrong size and half way through realized Magnus was a little smaller than what the pattern suggested. So, I made another one for good measure. Now I have a 12" Magnus and a 8" Magnus.

Does more than one Magnus = a Magni or a Magnus's?

Anyway, it's a good thing I have more than one, because I was originally making it as a late birthday present for my nephew Ethan (this is tattoo/embroidered on the backside of Magnus)! Now my kids can fight share and take turns with the little Magnus.

Now on to the next fleecie doll! I think I am starting to become addicted to these little dolls, and working with fleece. I never knew how lovely and forgiving fleece could be!
