A Breath of Fresh Air!

I had a great time in Breckenridge over the weekend! Lots of snacking, shopping and giggling. We stayed at my sisters condo that is about 2 blocks from Main Street.

We were on the top floor with windows all around. Here is the beautiful view we had... see the ski slopes!

  

There were so many cute little shops and good food. I happened upon one shop in particular that made my little heart a-flutter. It was called Scandia Butik, and I think I could have spent the entire day in there. They had the most wonderful Scandinavian gifts, books, jewelry, kitchen goods, linens, dolls, Dala horses, mugs, aprons, key rings, wall tapestries, trolls, flags, and... Troentorp-Bastad Clogs!

Girls Only Get-A-Way!!

Ummmm, it's Fall right? Cause I'm looking at the thermometer outside and it says 85 degrees! Did Mother Nature not get the Memo? Shouldn't it read 58 instead?

Maybe I can help her by bringing some home with me. I'm heading up to the mountains for 3 days with my Mom, and sisters! GIRLS ONLY!! This opportunity doesn't come along very often, so we are taking it while we can.

*	No	kids.
*	No	wiggly kids in my bed and alarm waking me up at 5:30 A.M.
*	No	school lunches to pack.
*	No	cooking, cleaning, or laundry.
*	No	whining, tattling, crying, or complaining (except maybe from us girls...which is totally different)!

*	Yes	to sleeping in, and not having to share pillows and blankets.
*	Yes	to beautiful Fall scenery and cool weather...I finally get to wear my new corduroy jacket.
*	Yes	to peace and quiet.
*	Yes	to giggling, eating good food, and being able to watch movies uninterrupted!
*	Yes	to shopping, napping, and whatever else I feel like doing.

I hope to come back feeling recharged and happy!

Zoe Hat

I  happened upon the most lovely store on Etsy called While They Play. She has so many fabulous things for sale, but I was immediately drawn to her beautiful crochet and crochet patterns. Just look at these stunning creations! HOLY MOLY!!

I bought the Pattern Pack which has all 9 PDF patterns, because well... I couldn't decide on just one pattern so I bought them all!

With the weather starting to get cooler, it is the perfect time to get out the yarn and hooks. I already finished my first pattern. It's the Zoe Hat!

 

I like to think of myself as a 'seasoned' beginner and was so thrilled at how it turned out, and it looks sooo cute on ( I am camera shy, otherwise I would show you). I LOVE it! I have already got requests from my girls to make them one. 

Better go get started, while I can enjoy the quiet! :)

A Small Badge Reconstruction Tutorial

I came across these cute Paperchase Monstarz badges I forgot I purchased from Borders awhile ago, and had tucked away in a tiny drawer for later! I don't really wear badges, but I couldn't pass them up...they were calling my name...Tracey, Tracey, buy us because we are so cute and irresistible!

I decided to turn them into refrigerator magnets so that they can greet me every morning with their silly monster faces! Here is a small and easy tutorial for badge reconstruction. You can do this with anything really!
