This past weekend was the 10th Annual Denver Arts Festival, so my little family hopped on the bus and went downtown! The kids love riding the bus, because then they can look down at all the cars and out the huge windows at the world around them. Calvin gets so excited that he talks really loud and really fast!
It was such a beautiful day and there were so many great artist to see! We strolled from booth to booth admiring all the wonderful pieces of art and talking to some of the artist about their work. All this walking made me hungry, so off to look for some tasty treats...how about Cook's Fresh Market?

Mmmmm, that'll do just fine! Look at those deliciously stacked Pistachio Cannolis and the Chocolate Tiramisu Cupcakes. Do I go for a creamy Chicken Salad, some fresh Sourdough Bread and Cheddar Cheese, A Giant Snickerdoodle....you name it they have it, too many choices. The kids went for the NY Style Cheesecake on a Stick, and it was gone before I even turned around!

This weekend we are celebrating all of the May birthdays... we have 4! I have a lot of family of my side, and instead of celebrating each individual person's birthday and meeting 4-6 times a month we combine them into one giant party every month. Yes, we have at least 2-5 birthdays a month except 1 month out of the year! I am in charge of bringing a dessert, and so I chose to make a Banana Split "Cake". The recipe if from the new summer Kraft Food & Family Magazine. If you don't have it, quickly go and sign up for this wonderful FREE magazine, I love it! It has really simple recipes that are quick and great for kids too. You can also view past magazine archives recipes.

"The little Swedish town was very picturesque, with its cobblestones streets, its tiny houses and the gardens that surrounded them. Everyone who visited there must have felt that this would be a calm and restful place to live. The people of the little town had neatly and carefully put up signs to show visitors the way to the sights. TO THE FOLKLORE MUSEUM was printed in large letters on one sign with an arrow underneath. TO THE GRAVE MOUND read another sign.
There was still a third sign, saying in rather crooked letters:
TO VILLA VILLEKULLA
That sign had been put up quite recently."
